The card is not the tombs
Amr AlMadani, LHL-P-468, coordinated a visitor economy at the Royal Commission for AlUla. He did not cut Hegra, he did not draw Sharaan, and he is no longer the office.
The Library admits Amr AlMadani, LHL-P-468, for a coordination, not for a building. He joined the Royal Commission for AlUla after it was established in July 2017, and he ran it through the years in which a closed valley became a visitor economy: heritage, roads, hotels, scholarships, a twenty-kilometre Wadi of Hospitality, an airport taken from one hundred thousand passengers toward four hundred thousand. The 2021 brochure called the luxury of the place a way of bringing people closer to culture, heritage and each other. That sentence is a brief. It is not a floor plan.
He did not design Journey Through Time alone. Saudi and French hands, and AFALULA, are on that plan. He is not the author of Habitas or of Banyan Tree. Jean Nouvel's name is on Sharaan, and the Library keeps it there. Hegra was UNESCO in 2008, nine years before the Commission. Dadan, the inscriptions, the Ottoman and the Islamic layers are not a chief executive's work. Before the Commission he had built a company, from 2007, around science fairs and gifted students. That is a biography. It is not the authorship of a public-school system.
What the card must also hold
On the twenty-ninth of January 2024 he was arrested, on allegations of abuse of authority and money laundering. The Library records the arrest as reported, not as a conviction. We will not try the case in a hotel essay, and we will not pretend the card ends before that date. He left the office. Work done after his departure belongs to the institution unless a document ties it to him. In December 2025 John Pagano was made managing director of AlUla Development Company, a PIF portfolio firm that builds assets inside a destination the Commission still governs. Three mandates are not one corporation. Pagano does not inherit the tombs, and he does not inherit this card.
The qualifying claim is not the title of chief executive. It is that the place was assembled into a product a guest can now buy.
Book Hegra because the tombs are there and the slots are finite. Book a house because it has a night. Do not book either because of a man who no longer signs the letterhead.
