The Gulf still opens the door
Fourteen airlines, three hubs, one Paris link. The first five months of 2026 fell 11.7 percent because the connection shook, not because the granite did.

The door is a Gulf hub. Dubai, Doha and Addis Ababa still carry the country. Fourteen airlines fly the route. Paris and Frankfurt exist as nonstops, and Zurich in season. They are the exception you may be lucky enough to hold. They are not the architecture. When the Gulf blinked, stopovers from January to May 2026 fell 11.7 percent against the record year. Cruise day-visitors in May fell harder still. The ceiling did not save the months. The ceiling only limits how many people may come. It does not fly them.
The Office prices an honest invoice, flight included, from about one thousand eight hundred euros to about ten thousand. The low figure is not a private island. The high figure is not a scandal. It is a legend villa, full board, in a month everyone else also wanted. Read the invoice before you read the beach. A Seychelles bill hides less than a Maldivian one, which means the number you are shown is closer to the number you will pay — and that number was never small.
One Gulf connection can serve both this country and the Maldives. That is the Office's practical point, and it is not an invitation to treat them as a pair of resorts. Same ticket logic, opposite product. If the hub is fragile on your dates, the Seychelles is fragile with it. Name the flight first. Then the hub of the country — Mahé, Praslin or La Digue — and only then the island you cannot leave.

The last line
The desk can ask. It cannot invent a door.
Where the house is open, that is the official rate and the privileges that house actually honours. Where it is not open, the answer is that it is not open. Miles and status are not a promise on a project with no reservations.
