The Calendar
The island sleeps early
November to March is the premium, in the high twenties. The shoulder is the same sand, twenty to thirty percent less. Festive weeks are not the shoulder. Summer is an indoor city.

The season runs from October to May. November through March is the premium: beach weather in the high twenties, European sun back, the GCC still coming for the weekend. Inside that window the festive weeks are a separate market. They sell at the full rate. The ten-to-fifteen-percent gap under February is not a promise about Christmas. It is a description of the winter as a whole. Book the weeks beside the feast if you want the lag. Book the feast if you want the beach and will pay what it asks.
October, April and May are the shoulder the Office actually recommends for value. Same sand, same two museums, rates twenty to thirty percent under the peak. That is the negotiable season. June through September is hot and priced as heat. The island then competes on indoor culture, and mostly with people who live here. A summer stay is a Louvre trip with a hot beach outside. Say so when you book it, or do not book it.
Nothing on this calendar is a Palio or a Tantora. There is no civic machine you attend. There is a weekend from the Gulf, a winter from Europe, and a museum that keeps office hours. The island sleeps early. That is not a failure of the nightlife. It is the product. The person who needs the night is already in Dubai, which is the comparison the shock made expensive, and which this issue refuses to blur.

The last line
The desk can ask. It cannot invent a door.
Where the house is open, that is the official rate and the privileges that house actually honours. Where it is not open, the answer is that it is not open. Miles and status are not a promise on a project with no reservations.
